Terms of Use

1. Who you are dealing with

These terms cover every piece of software HAKUNA AUDIO publishes — today MULTISTAGE SIDECHAIN and HAKUNIZER, and anything released after them. All of it is developed and published by HAKUNA AUDIO, Chile. Contact: support@hakunaaudio.com.

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy acting as merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy is the seller for the payment transaction, handles VAT and issues your invoice; the license to use the software is granted by us under these terms.

2. License granted

You receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software on computers you own or control, for personal or commercial music production, including commercial releases. No further royalty or clearance is owed on music you make with it.

Where a product is activated with a license key, that license runs on up to three computers at a time, and you can free an activation from your account to move it to another machine. The license begins on payment.

A product we give away, such as HAKUNIZER, costs nothing and stands on these same terms. It still asks once for a free key from your HAKUNA AUDIO account, and until that key is entered the plugin passes silence.

3. What you may not do

• Distribute, resell, rent, lend, sublicense or share the software or your serial.
• Circumvent or remove the licensing mechanism, or help others do so.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except to the extent that this restriction cannot lawfully be imposed on you — in the European Union, your rights under Directive 2009/24/EC are unaffected by these terms.

4. Ownership

The software is licensed, not sold. All intellectual property in it remains ours. Music you produce with it is entirely yours.

5. Updates

Updates within the major version you bought are included at no cost. A future major version may be a separate paid product; if so, existing customers will be offered upgrade pricing. We are not obliged to keep publishing updates indefinitely, and a version you have already installed keeps working regardless.

6. Refunds

A paid product can be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase, provided it has not been activated. Once it is activated, or once 14 days have passed, it is no longer eligible. If something is not working, write to us first: most of it we can fix.

The conditions, what to send and how long it takes are in the Refund Policy, which is the version that applies. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

7. Warranty and liability

The software is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and our total liability arising out of the software is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for lost work, lost recordings or lost profits.

Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer. If you buy as a consumer in the European Union, the legal conformity guarantee applies and takes precedence over anything in this section that would reduce it.

8. Termination

This license ends if you breach it in a material way and do not put it right within 30 days of being asked. On termination you must stop using and delete the software. Sections 4 and 7 survive.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Chile. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings there. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

10. Changes

We may update these terms for future purchases and downloads. The version in force when you bought or downloaded is the one that governs your license.
